This sundial, and the stone pillar, was erected in commemoration of the International Exhibition by Prince Albert Victor of Wales on the 8th of May 1886.
The pillar itself is built from (Sand)stone, on top of which is the Sundial. The sundial is a bit high to be inspected properly.
The stone pillar has various inscriptions, including references to the Masons and also various Mottoes.

The sundial is located in a public park and there are no access restrictions.
