Every July 4th, fireworks can be seen over San Diego Bay...and the lawn of the San Diego County Adminsitrative Center is a prime viewing spot.

The San Diego County Adminsitrative Center converted its above ground parking lots on either side of the complex underground in 2014 and created a beautiful new Waterfront Park. Thousands of people come early on July 4th to stake out a place to set down their picnic blankets. Kids play on the swings and slides. The site is adjacent to the harbor front and when the fireworks start at 9 pm...they are synchronized with music that is played here on the sound speakers. Fireworks are set off in several locations...all visible from this site--- from the middle of the harbor, Coronado, downtown, Ocean Beach, etc.
