"A sundial with two vertical armatures set in a low pyramid-shaped base. One of the armatures, a stainless steel rod, rises from the center of the base. The other armature, a black-painted metal beam, rises from the back of the base and is angled toward the front, extending over the top of the stainless steel rod. Set in the concrete in front of the sculpture are the Roman numerals I through XI arranged in a V-shape with M at the apex. The sundial faces north and is on a campus walkway between two buildings."
