Just across the railroad tracks from downtown Amherst and just off Highway 2/6/Victoria Street, which serves as Amherst's Main Street, Dooly's is both convenient and easy to find. It's a licensed billiards room which offers a "living room" atmosphere with a fireplace, sofas and lounge area. The bar also serves snacks and food, in addition to the usual bar fare.
Besides the billiards tables, of which there are six in the main hall and two in a private room, available for private occasions, they have a video games area, the lounge area and a bar, table games, cards, traditional and trendy board games and, as they say, much, much, more. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. Unfortunately, due to size constraints, they have no snooker tables, but then, few "pool halls" do any more.

Dooly's Concept
Dooly's is your community's favorite place to play, relax and have fun. We have been providing quality entertainment since 1993 and have 61 locations across Canada. Each Dooly's features a comfortable atmosphere with a fireplace, cozy sofas, lounge area and of course, first-class billiard tables. It's the perfect gathering place for friends, colleagues, and fellow pool players.
The Dooly's concept evolved from the need of the adult population to find leisure activities that are fun, clean, challenging, socially acceptable to both sexes, economical and available seven days a week. Most adults have, at some point in time, played billiards, and in recent years people have shown a growing interest in playing billiards as the centre of social gatherings.
Dooly's is a licensed billiard room which offers a "living room" atmosphere with a fireplace, sofas, lounge area, video games area and billiard tables. At Dooly's, the focus is on the comfort of the clientele.
Dooly's operates under strict rules and regulations, including a dress code which is in effect at all times. The Dooly's system is the same in every market and the rules and regulations are consistent throughout the chain. As a result of these rules and the high class decor of the franchise operation, the clientele at Dooly's includes both males and females. Dooly's approach is all about "good times, good friends" and our customers include a diversified group of professionals and laborers, students and retirees.
Dooly's Growth
The first Dooly's opened for business in Moncton, New Brunswick in May 1993. A second unit opened in Riverview, New Brunswick in February 1994. Due to the tremendous response, 20 more Dooly's were built between July 1994 to October 1995 throughout New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and the Magdalen Islands.
In May of 1995, we welcomed our first franchised operation in Sussex, New Brunswick. In the next year, business almost doubled with expansion in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Quebec, bringing the total number of Dooly's up to 41 by the end of 1996. Today, there are 61 Dooly's in operation in seven provinces.
