"Fay Wray is known to almost everyone on the planet as the woman with the problem boyfriend."

Born in a wilderness ranch southwest of Cardston in 1907, Fay Wray was carried to fame in the hand of a giant gorilla in the 1933 film classic "King Kong".

Appearing in nearly eighty movies in the course of a thirty-three year career, Fay Wary was a leading lady during Hollywood's Golden Age.

The Fay Wray fountain commemorates her visit "back home" in 1962. This interpretive plaque was installed in September 1993, when Fay visited Cardston during the 60th anniversary year of the legendary film and the immortal character known as King Kong.
