EN: The Catholic parish church St. John the Baptist is located at the eastern end of the old town just north of the castle hill.

A first church was probably donated by the Säckingen monastery before the city was founded in the 13th century. Today's three-nave church dates from the 15th century, the tower was built in 1591-93. In 1605 the interior was renovated and equipped with frescoes. 1750-53 there was a baroque remodeling.

Eine erste Kirche wurde wohl schon vor der Stadtgründung im 13. Jahrhundert vom Kloster Säckingen gestiftet. Die heutige dreischiffige Kirche stammt aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, der Turm wurde 1591-93 erbaut. Um 1605 wurde der Innenraum renoviert und mit Fresken ausgestattet. 1750-53 erfolgte eine barocke Umgestaltung.
