The name erratic comes from Latin errare (to wander). Those are rock fragments moved by glacier hundreds or thousends of kilometers from original location. So, on the sandy, lowland landscape we have methamorfic rocks, that are met in mountain regions.
This gnanite gneiss block is protected because of its size and geological importance as Natural Monument.
