This mural is 105 ft x 36 ft and covers the entire side of the packing house. In was completed in 2006 by Larry Hunter and Gerry Houghton. There are two inserts one of an apple picker and the other is of three women and most likely their boss who worked in the packing house.

“This was a very large heritage mural paying tribute to the orchard and fruit industry of the area. This commission was for the town of Summerland's 2006 Centennial.

Again, I researched the photos with help from the local museum staff for authenticity, even the "Spartan" apples which were developed at a local research station and Giant's Head Mt. in the background are accurate.”

This mural took five weeks to complete.
