EN: The District Court is located in the west of Sissach on the main road. The house was built in 1824 and originally served as governor office.

The two-storey building with five window rows and a half-hipped roof belongs stylistically to the early classicism. The balcony attachment with the columns on the east side does not fit the otherwise strict symmetry of the building, but is typical of stately mansions in this area and emphasizes its importance.

DE: Das Bezirksgericht befindet sich im Westen von Sissach an der Hauptstrasse. Das Haus wurde 1824 erbaut und diente ursprünglich als Statthalteramt.

Das zweistöckige Gebäude mit fünf Fensterachsen und einem Krüppelwalmdach gehört stilistisch zum frühen Klassizismus. Der Laubenanbau mit den Säulen an der Ostseite passt zwar nicht zu der sonst strengen Symmetrie des Gebäudes , ist aber typisch für herrschaftliche Landsitze in dieser Gegend und unterstreicht seine Bedeutung.
