EN: The parish church of St. George in Rümlingen stands at the north end of the old village in the valley center. It forms a medieval assembly, together with the former charnel house and the cemetery that has, despite a number of later changes, kept much of its original character.
In the Middle Ages the church was much smaller. In 1520, the tower was added, which was further increased in the early 17th century. In 1587 the interior was rebuilt. The nave was extended to the west and the staircase tower to the gallery was added around 1668. The former ossuary served since the 17th century as a tithe magazine.
DE: Die Pfarrkirche St. Georg in Rümlingen steht am Nordende des alten Dorfkerns in der Talmitte. Sie bildet zusammen mit den ehemaligen Beinhaus und dem Friedhof eine mittelalterliche Baugruppe, die trotz einer Reihe von Veränderungen noch viel von ihrem ursprünglichen Charakter erhalten hat.
Im Mittelalter war die Kirche noch einiges kleiner. 1520 wurde der Turm angebaut, der im frühen 17. Jahrhundert noch erhöht wurde. 1587 wurde das Innere umgebaut. Das Kirchenschiff wurde um 1668 nach Westen verlängert und der Turm für die Emporentreppe angebaut. Das ursprüngliche Beinhaus diente seit dem 17. Jahrhundert als Zehntenspeicher.
