EN: The outdoor pool of Buus is located outside the town limits on the road to Maisprach.
The pool already opened in 1935. At that time the basin was filled with water from the river flowing next to it.
In the 1970s, the site was greatly enlarged and completely renovated in 2012.
Today, the pool area has a 25-m-swimmer pool with four lanes, a diving area with 1 and 3 meter diving platforms, a non-swimmer's pool with a small slide and a kiddie pool. A small kiosk selling snacks and drinks.
The outdoor pool is located in a quiet environment and is rarely crowded. Although rather small, it is therefore also often used by visitors from other towns.
DE: Das Freibad von Buus befindet sich ausserhalb des Dorfs an der Strasse nach Maisprach.
Das Bad wurde bereits 1935 eröffnet. Damals wurde das Bassin noch mit Wasser aus dem daneben fliessenden Bach gefüllt.
In den 1970er Jahren wurde das Bad stark vergrössert und 2012 komplett saniert.
Heute verfügt das Bad über ein 25-m-Schwimmerbecken mit vier Bahnen, eine Sprungbucht mit 1-m-Sprungbrett und 3-m-Sprungturm, ein Nichtschwimmerbecken mit kleiner Rutschbahn und ein Kleinkinderbecken. Ein kleiner Kiosk verkauft Snacks und Getränke.
Das Freibad befindet sich in einer ruhigen Umgebung und ist selten überfüllt. Obwohl eher klein, wird es deshalb auch gerne von Besuchern aus der weiteren Umgebung benutzt.
