EN: The parish of Maisprach is located on a hill terrace west of the village center inside a walled churchyard.
The early history of the church is unknown. The oldest known components of the building date from the 15th century; at that time the church was much smaller. In 1612/13, the nave was extended, further modifications were executed in the 17th and 18th centuries. The steeple dates back to the 1711.
Despite the many changes, the church has retained much of its original Gothic character. Inside, there still exist many baroque original elements from the 17th century.
DE: Die Pfarrkirche von Maisprach befindet sich auf einer Hügelterrasse westlich des Dorfzentrums in einem ummauerten Kirchhof.
Die frühe Geschichte der Kirche ist unbekannt. Die ältesten bekannten Bestandteile des Gebäudes stammen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert; damals war die Kirche noch bedeutend kleiner. 1612/13 wurde das Kirchenschiff verlängert, weitere Umbauten folgten im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert. Der Kirchturm stammt aus dem Jahr 1711.
Trotz der vielen Veränderungen hat die Kirche viel von ihren ursprünglichen gotisches Charakter erhalten. Im Innern existieren noch viele barocke Originalbestandteile aus dem 17. Jahrhundert.
