Gothic-Empire Church of St. Adalbert (Kostel Sv. Vojtecha), parish church of local Roman Catholic parish, is located in the centre of village Libice nad Cidlinou.
Church of St. Adalbert, originaly probably funeral church of the nearby fortified settlement Libice (ca 930 ?), was consecrated to St. Bonifacius and later to St. George. This pre-Romanesque church was later (ca 1375) replaced by a Gothic one and its core (presbytery and vestry) You can find in the walls of existing church. Present church is result of complete Empire reconstruction and reshaping (1865-1836) of older Gothic church after devastating fire in 1832. The nave was extended and its windows were reshaped in Empire style. Further church's structural changes (neo-Renaissance facade) were done in 1875.
St. Adalbert is single-nave rectangular structure with pentagonal presbytery, rectangular vestry at south wall and front western-situated prismatic tower. Gothic presbytery and vestry, both cross-vaulted, have original Gothic pointed windows.
