The Hopewell Hill is a small rural community with a population of just over 250 residents. The cemetery has approximately 1,450 interments and is located within Albert County.
For such a small community, this is a fairly large cemetery that is well maintained. It is about 5 acres in size and has white fencing that runs the entire length of the cemetery in the front. The rest of the cemetery is unfenced with large trees along most of the perimeter and along the roadway. There is a new addition to the entrance with two granite walls with rod iron double gates and a pedestrian gate.
The cemetery is still active with the last known burials taking place in 2014. According to the inscription on the gate wall it was established in 1892. There is a record of the act that was passed to incorporate the cemetery on April 16, 1891.
There are 39 known interments that took place prior to the cemetery being incorporated.
