This old draw well carved directly in the rocky sandstone city hill of Trendelburg is about 81 meters (40 Klafters) deep to reach the ground water layer of the Diemel Valley.
In 1828, the draw chain was changed into a draw rope, in 1868 the well was filled up after a big city fire.
