This plaque commemorates the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Catalan painter Santiago Rusiñol. It is attached to the walls of Casa Ramon Casas where the painter lived for a short period.

Santiago Rusiñol i Prats (25 February 1861 – 13 June 1931) was a Spanish painter, poet, and playwright. He was one of the leaders of the Catalan modernisme movement. He influenced Pablo Picasso as a modern artist, and also left a number of modernist buildings in Sitges, a town in Catalonia.
Casa Ramon Casas is a modernist building forming part of Barcelona’s architectural heritage. It is located on Passeig de Gràcia in the Eixample district of Barcelona.
The plaque reads (Catalan):
"L'Arca de Noe en el cinquantenari de la mort de Santiago Rusiñol; amb reconeixement i recordança dels anys viscuts e aquesta casa. 13 Juny 1931 - 13 Juny 1981"
Translation:
"Noah's Ark on the fiftieth anniversary of the death of Santiago Rusiñol; with recognition and remembrance of the years lived in this house. 13 June 1931 to 13 June 1981"
