EN: The Feuerschützenhaus is a restaurant in the west of the old town. The two-storey house has an L-shaped floor plan with an attachment in the northwest corner. The hipped roof has a ridge turret and about 30 dormers in different sizes.
The house was built in 1561-1564 by the Society of marksmen, who used the adjacent Schützenmatte as their shooting range since 1498. Since 1845 there is a restaurant in the house. The shooting range moved to the suburbs in 1899 and the Schützenmatte was converted into a park; the restaurant Schützenhaus is still owned by the marksmen society.
DE: Das Feuerschützenhaus ist ein Restaurant im Westen der Altstadt. Das zweistöckige Haus hat einen L-förmigen Grundriss mit einem Anbau an der nordwestlichen Ecke. Das Walmdach verfügt über einen Dachreiter und etwa 30 Dachfenster in verschiedenen Grössen.
Das Haus wurde zwischen 1561 und 1564 von der Gesellschaft der Feuerschützen erbaut, die seit 1498 auf der benachbarten Schützenmatte ihren Schiessplatz hatte. Seit 1845 befindet sich ein Restaurant in dem Haus. Der Schiessplatz wurde 1899 an den Stadtrand verlegt und die Schützenmatte zu einem Park umgebaut; das Restaurant Schützenhaus ist noch heute im Besitz der Gesellschaft der Feuerschützen.
