This is actually very easy to spot IF you know it's there. From Dealey Plaza, approach the sign, and peek behind its right (southern side). The bolt is prominent on one of the courthouse stones, stamped "USBM", with the letters split into quadrants by two lines.
The coordinates on the data sheet will place you down Main Street, slightly northeast of where you want to be. For those who follow history or those who live in a cave, John F. Kennedy had just moments to live as his motorcade passed Old Red and this benchmark. The old courthouse has been restored in recent years, and now is a wonderful museum of Dallas County history and culture. Pay it a visit first, then log the benchmark.
