In Wellesley, on the campus of Massachusetts Bay Community College, is this sculpture called Liminal Bloom.
To get to the sculpture, from Mass. Route 9, turn south at the traffic light intersection that has a stone bus shelter and a gateway with the words, "Massachusetts Bay Community College."
The sculpture is located on a traffic island where several drives come together. The sculpture is visible from Oakland Street.
The sculpture has a general cylindrical shape. The base is circular. Several pieces project from the base, starting with aluminum and extending with polypropylene, curved such as to suggest either petals or flames.
A small plaque at the base says the following:
