The massive quadrangular substructure consists of six floors and is divided into a total of three clearly demarcated by Kaffgesimse zones. Furthermore a platform is an iron railing, which can be achieved by the rise over the 148 steps through the tower. Above the platform rises a narrower, octagonal building with four semicircular bay windows and a large onion dome with lantern. The whole tower, as well as cornices and consoles are built of Höttinger breccia (conglomerate rock), the octagonal tower is plastered."
