On a quiet location, between tall trees on the Paabergweg in De Lutte, stands near the Middelkampweg a Mary chapel. It was built in 2003 and has been named Middelkaamp.
Because almost all districts, neighborhoods and corners of De Lutte had a private chapel or cross country, this neighborhood did not stay behind. Although the number of churchgoers diminishes, contemporary man is obviously a need for other forms of religiosity or rituals.
The Mary Chapel was founded in Bentheim sandstone. The walls are built of timber from red brick. Oak roof trusses support the roof, which is covered with old Dutch tiles. The facade has a wooden gable facade with a sign. In the rear are to be found two windows. The chapel is on the table a stone statue of Mary with baby Jesus in her arms. The image is stained in brown-green color.
On June 8, 2003 the chapel was inaugurated and since then the pride of the residents of Paasberg area.
