Bonn. (ga) Die drei Lichttürme auf dem Dach der Bundeskunsthalle haben immer mehr von ihrem strahlenden Türkisblau eingebüßt: Die Kacheln blätterten ab, das Material war nicht witterungsbeständig. Zurzeit werden die Kegel saniert. Die Kosten dafür trägt die Bundesrepublik Deutschland als Eigentümerin.
Während der Bauarbeiten können Besucher auf dem Museumsdach die Werke von Tony Cragg besichtigen oder einfach den Ausblick genießen. Auch die Sommergarten-Konzerte des General-Anzeigers finden wie gewohnt statt.
Bis zum Oktober soll die Sanierung der Lichttürme dauern. Wie Pressesprecherin Maja Majer-Wallat mitteilte, hängt der Fortschritt der Bauarbeiten vom Wetter ab.
Viel tut sich zurzeit auch unterhalb der Türme. Die Vorbereitungen für zwei neue große Ausstellungen laufen in der Bundeskunsthalle auf Hochtouren. Die Ausstellung "Japans Schönheit, Japans Seele. Meisterwerke aus dem Tokyo National Museum" beginnt am 29. August, vom 26. September an sind Kunstwerke der Azteken zu sehen.
An heißen Tagen ist die Bundeskunsthalle an der Friedrich-Ebert-Allee eine echte Alternative zum Schwimmbad. Maja Majer-Wallat berichtet: "Bei uns herrschen angenehme 21 Grad."
