"The Agnetenklooster already existed in 1418 and was enlarged after the donation of Joanna Van Bars in 1421. After the French Revolution was sold the monastery. It was acquired by Canon Vandermaesen. This left the church break down in the early 19th century and founded the monastery in the mansion. At the recent renovation, the building was gekaleid except the former summer refectory and the church ruins. Now Agnetenklooster is in use by the ministry of the Flemish Community (Youth Welfare)."
