Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Madison Township, Putnam Co, just west of Greencastle. This cemetery is extremely well kept and is home to a wonderful variety of graves ranging from modern to the late 1820s. There is an absolutely wonderful variety of military graves at this site.

To the very rear of the cemetery is an old, tall
stone marked with a 13-star American Flag (or at least there was). This is the grave of
Peter Stoner Sr., veteran of the American Revolution. Peter was
born June 6, 1764 in Pennsylvania and died April 7, 1851. He
enlisted various times in 1780 and 1781 from Mecklenburg Co., North
Carolina and served under Capts. Rease, Wm Hutchinson and Samuel
Martin and Cols. Caleb Phifer and Wm. Polk in North Carolina and
South Carolina. Peter was in the Battles of Eutaw Springs. Monks
Corner, Hanging Rock, King's Mountain and Cowpens.
