Dartmoor Firing Ranges, of which there are three on Dartmoor. Signage signalling, when the military are using the moor is by way of red flags or at night red lights (during firing there no access to the public).
Waymark Code: WMRY1T
Location: South West England, United Kingdom

The three ranges on the moor are Wilsworthy, Merrivale and Oakhampton.
As access onto the moor and the firing ranges can be achieved without designated access routes, lanes or tracks, where there are written information. The (unusual) signage on high tors act as the warning and signage.
Dartmoor's high tors are ideal look out positions and marker positions and signaling wayward hikers when there is live firing ( In all probability, live firing is now done with more modern means which can simulate, live action.).
This Waymark on Yes tor, is the highest on Dartmoor and perhaps, has the best panoramic views.

Always check before accessing the ranges
