The 28-acre Florida Scrub-Jay Management Area is one of the most biologically diverse plant ecosystems in the County's park system. The 2-mile hiking trail loops through the management area and ephemeral ponds gives visitors a unique view of the numerous native plants, insects, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and birds that make use of this park. Park species highlights include the endemic Florida-Scrub-jay, River Otter, Soft-Shelled Turtle, Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly and Loggerhead Shrike.
