This concrete pedestal trig, on Mount Gibraltar, does not have the plastic post and vanes, but it does have the name plate intact, which reads:
Central Mapping Authority
Geodetic Station
Donkin
It appears that this was in a nature reserve, as when I first visited it in 2007 there had recently been a couple of 'copper logs' removed, in positions suitable for an information sign. (The holes in the ground remained, and the uprights were close by, but I couldn't see the cross piece that would have displayed the name of the place.)
There is decrepit 'safety railing' around the eastern and southern sides of the trig, as there is quite a steep drop off.
Mount Gibraltar Road, off of Wingham-Comboyne Road, has become a bit more rough in the intervening years.
