Pramen vyverá v erozní rýze u modré znacky za rozcestím Vildenberk- zrícenina smerem na Pozorice, zhruba 50 metru pod prameništem pravého ramene Kovalovického potoka. Ze znacené cesty k nemu vede oznacená odbocka od blízké boudy.

Studánka se využívá od roku 1928, kdy byl v její blízkosti postaven Josefem Žalmanem, jedním ze zakladatelu casopisu Ceskoslovenská myslivost, lovecký srub Hradní bouda. Soucasnou podobu dostala studánka v roce 1984.

Vodu využívají návštevníci Hradní boudy, turisté a obcané Pozoric a Jezer, kterí sem jezdí na kole pro dobrou vodu.
Má 300 - 350 mg rozpuštených látek v 1 litru, z toho je pres 220 mg hydrouhlicitanu vápenatého, což je velmi príznivé. Stabilní vydatnost 6 l/min a teplota behem roku kolísá jen málo kolem 8 stupnu Celsia. Po chemické i mikrobiologické stránce vždy vyhovovala norme pro pitnou vodu. Obsah dusicnanu se pohybuje od 1,5 do 3,7 mg/l. (údaje jsou z roku 2001)

Studánka je silne zastínená. Ve výtokové trubce i na vlhkých kamenech mužeme pozorovat tmavé nárosty. Tvorí je husté porosty vláken cervené rasy - ruduchy rodu Audouinella (Chantransia) a obrovské množství miniaturních schránek Amphora pediculus - rozsivky vyskytující se predevším v subalpínském pásmu. Oba druhy nacházejí ve zdejší nadmorské výšce vhodné podmínky pro život práve v cistém chladném prostredí zastínené studánky.
U studánky je lavicka.

Natural Spring has been used since 1928, when it was built near her Zalman Joseph, one of the founders of the magazine Czechoslovak hunting, hunting cabin castle shed. Current form came in spring 1984.
 
Water Castle visitors using the shed, tourists and citizens Pozoric and Jezer, who come here by bicycle for good water.

Natural Spring is heavily shaded. In the discharge tube and on wet rocks we can be observed dark growths. It consists of dense stands of red algae fibers - red algae of the genus Audouinella (Chantransia) and a huge amount of miniature boxes Amphora Pediculus - diatoms occurring mainly in the subalpine zone. Both species found in the local altitude conditions suitable for life now in a clean environment cool shaded Natural Springs.
