EN: The housezum obern Aarau is a late gothic residential house on the Oberer Heuberg. The three-storey house with its ornamented façade dates from the late 16th century, but has precursors that date back to the 13th century and stands with the back to the former inner city wall. In 1834 the house was enlarged, but retained its original character. The interior was partly remodeled during the Baroque period.

Today it contains rooms of the Faculty of Theology and apartments.

DE: Das Haus zum obern Aarauist ein spätgotisches Wohnhaus am Oberen Heuberg. Das dreistöckige Haus mit der verzierten Fassade stammt aus dem späten 16. Jahrhundert, hat aber Vorläufer, die bis ins 13. Jahrhundert zurückreichen und steht mit der Rückseite an der ehemaligen Inneren Stadtmauer. 1834 wurde das Haus verbreitert, behielt aber seinen originalen Charakter. Das Innere wurde währed der Zeit des Barock teilweise umgestaltet.

Heute befinden sich in dem Haus Räume der Theologischen Fakultät und Wohnungen.
