Lion Rock is located along the Ross Maxwell scenic drive in Big Bend National Park. It is north of Cerro Castellan in an area of tuff outcroppings.
This formation loks to us like a shaggy male lion lying down but with his head raised, ears tucked close to his head, baring his teeth at something he sees in the desert.
