Long Description:
Charleston

Founded by George Clendenin and named for his father. Established, 1794, Fort Lee, built, 1788, stood on Kanawha River. "Mad Anne" Baily, the border heroine, and Daniel Boone and Simon Kenton noted scouts, once lived here.
