His grave is in the Uralla Old Cemetery which is now closed. His headstone is marble with some of the lead lettering having fallen out. His 5 year old daughter is also buried in the same grave.
He was a corporal with the 33rd Australian Infantry Battalion, Australian Army & was killed in action at Villers-Bretonneux France during World War I at the age of 31.
