A wonderful stretch of parkland is a great place to visit for walking, tennis, games for kids, and the list goes on. Mr. Cleveland provided the land and the City of Greenville built the park with some eventual help from the WPA.

"Cleveland Park is the largest park in Greenville, South Carolina, much of its more than 120 acres being greenway along Richland Creek and the Reedy River near center city.
On December 31, 1924, prominent Greenville developer William Choice Cleveland donated a crescent-shaped 110 acres on the southeast side of town to be used as a park and playground, a recreational area he hoped would compliment his new housing development, Cleveland Forest." [1]
