Bell to left (south) of the entrance to the Eureka County Courthouse in Eureka, Nevada. The two bells in front of the courthouse were rung as fire alarms by two of Eureka's several volunteer fire companies. This bell is cast with “EUREKA W.T. GARRAT. S.F. C.A.L . 1881” on it. William T. Garratt operated four foundries in San Francisco from 1850 to 1885. The first three were lost to fires. The last one which cast this bell was established following a fire in 1870 (
