The Red Wing trail is a 3.4 km loop trail that follows the perimeter dike around Selkirk Park. The first portion of the trail provides views of the interior of the park to the left, and views of the Red River to the right. The trail then enters a wooded area as the dike curves to the left. The final portion of the trail follows the road adjacent to the duck pond.
