Marker Text (required):
30 W. Williams Built at a cost of $4,477 in 1906, this stone building was completed from rock quarried in this area. The 1934 earthquake caused visible cracks in its walls and required the addition of the steel rods at the top of the structure. The building continued to be used as the county jail until 1973. Walk around the outside and notice the difference in the selection of the stone material in each wall.
