It is located on the Gaston Imbert footbridge, between "4-otages" avenue and "Jean-Jaurès" quay. A gift in homage to the poet and resistant René Char, born at l'Isle sur Sorgue, 1906.
The sculptor also engraved a haiku, on the stone placed at the entrance of the bridge : "Je repose ma tête sur une pierre et rince mon oreille dans le fleuve". Which could be translated as: "I rest my head on a stone and rinse my ear in the river".
Since tourists throw there pieces, a lucky sign.
