This building in Vieux-Montréal dates back to 1868. Restaurants were not located in this building until the 1970s. Le Solmar, a Portuguese restaurant, opened its doors in 1972. Because of the cuisine classique Portugaisé, the flag display includes a few examples of the national flag of Portugal. Viewing the flag display first from 400 rue Saint-Vincent, the waymarker sees the flags of Portugal, Spain, Europe, United States, France, Québec, Canada and Brazil.
