Das Denkmal Friedrich Schillers wurde 1905 von Wilhelm Seib im Auftrag des St. Pöltner Männergesangverein errichtet. Die Bronzestatue steht auf einem steinernen Sockel. Auf der Rückseite des Sockels befindet sich eine goldene Inschrift:
Von des Lebens Gütern allen
ist der Ruhm das höchste doch.
Wenn der Leib in Staub zerfallen,
lebt der grosse Name noch. [Aphorismus von Friedrich Schiller]

Auf der linken und rechten Seite des Sockels befindet sich je ein bildliches Bronze-Relief mit einem weiteren Aphorismus von Schiller:
Der Mutterliebe zarte Sorgen
bewachen seinen goldnen Morgen.
und
Ans Vaterland ans teure schliess Dich an,
das halte fest mit Deinem ganzen Herzen.

Friedrich Schiller's monument was erected in 1905 by Wilhelm Seib on behalf of the "St. Pöltner Männergesangverein" (St. Pölten men's choral society). The bronze statue stands on a stone pedestal. On the back of the pedestal is a golden inscription:
Of all the goods of life
The fame is the highest.
When the body disintegrates into dust,
The great name is still alive. [Aphorism by Friedrich Schiller]
