Constructed in 1898 with a large central clock tower and turrets on the corners. They were all shaved off in 1948.

This clock , once mounted in a climbing clock tower, now relegated to commoner work on the face of the remodeled courthouse.
The courthouse built of red brick, has in the center face a square of tan brick, within in resides the clock. Bordered with a circle of tan brick ends and then a circle of black, inside a plain white clock-face covered in plate glass. The numerals are of Arabic origin, and the hands of wrought iron, simple to the arrow heads which are ginger breaded lace.
Crawford County Courthouse Robinson, Illinois The cornerstone was laid October 24, 1895 and it was completed in 1896. JW Gaddis designed it. On March 28, 1899, a fire in the courthouse caused the removal of the pitched roof, turrets and clock tower.
