On March 21st 1999 residents of Moora awoke to find the town submerged under a metre of flood water, the residents were moved to Perth until the water subsided and they could return to start cleaning-up, unfortunately there were two further floods that year although not as severe. on the left-hand side of the mural are the marks the waters reached
