The municipality of Duggingen took over this flag in 1946. It is the coat of arms of the lords of Bärenfels, who were the largest episcopal feudal lords in the area of Duggingen in the late Middle Ages. On the northern edge of the village are still the ruins of castle Bärenfels.
I found the flag in the village center at the school building, which used to also house the municipal administration.

Die Gemeinde Duggingen übernahm diese Flagge 1946. Es handelt sich um das Wappen der Herren von Bärenfels, die im ausgehenden Mittelalter die grössten bischöflichen Lehensherren in der Gegend von Duggingen waren. Am Nordrand der Gemeinde befindet sich noch die Ruine der Burg Bärenfels.
Ich fand die Flagge im Gemeindezentrum am Schulhaus, das früher auch die Gemeindeverwaltung beherbergte.
