The Green Plaques Project, an initiative of the Berry and District Historical Society, was officially launched on Thursday, June 29 2017.
An official unveiling was held at the Berry Museum. Eleven historical buildings in Berry now have circular, bronze green plaques installed. Each plaque features a brief summary of the building’s history.
The plaque is worded:
E. S. & A. Bank
The English Scottish and Australian Bank was built in 1885 on land purchased from the Berry Estate. The building was designed by the prominent architect, William Wardell, who also designed St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney.
