In the 100 block on the east side of Main Street, the park fills about three quarters of the block, with a single building to the north, possibly the 1960 post office, occupying the remainder of the block. The entrance is framed by a steel tube arch containing the words
Lavina Park and supported by two columns of local fieldstone.
Affixed to the left hand, north, stone column, above a handmade wooden bench, is a bronze plaque, placed in memory of Tanya Starzenski by the "Village of Lavina". Dedication of the plaque occurred in 1996. No online information on Tany could be found.
