"ALBERTSON PUBLIC LIBRARY (open 9-9 weekdays; 2-6 Sun.), 165 E.Central Ave., of neoclassic design, opened in 1923, contains 70,000 volumes, including a rare-book section. The symmetrical facade is dominated by a high central section with pedimented Doric portico; a classic parapet crowns the long wings on either side. Murray S. King of Orlando was the architect. It was named for Captain Charles Albertson, who bequeathed his private library to the city."
