This is a one-story building constructed of native sandstone. The main pedestrian entrance faces north on Jefferson Street. It consists of a double wood entrance within a projected entrance bay, with a stepped parapet. Above the entrance narrow rocks are laid vertically, with a keystone. The windows are tall hung windows, some of which have been boarded up. The roof on this portion is flat, and there are two overhead vehicle doors on the east side of this portion. The rock work at the entrance is magnificent. It is inter-laid with rocks cut into diamonds, triangles, and mirror-image shapes over the door. Chunks of granite are also inlaid in the 18 inch walls.
The barrel-roof drill floor section is located behind the office area on the south side of the building. Its windows are casement and are exposed. There is an overhead vehicle entrance on the east and south sides of this part of the building, with a pedestrian door on the east.
