It's counter service here, on the right after you come through the entrance, and a fairly big menu is up above and behind where the staff are. Sandwiches, plates, and by-the-pound to go are your options, and they include brisket (chopped and sliced), ribs, ham, chicken, pork roast, and sausage (regular and Pittsburg Hot Links). Interestingly, they also do boudin sausage, which you'll find in Texas as "boudain, and you can get baked potatoes and chicken fried steak, too. Sides are numerous, but you'll find the usual beans, slaw, and potato salad among them, and while you can't get 'em as sides with a plate lunch, they also have stew and chili. Self-serve soft drinks are available, as are a few dessert offerings. This is a fairly popular place to dine during the lunch hour, and while there's plenty of room to sit, get here while they still have the good stuff.

There's really not a "pig out" option, and while the servings aren't small, they're not immense, either. Best bet there is to get a combo plate for $9.98. Those who are dining on the cheap can get a plain baked potato for $4.25.

They don't have a website, but a copy of their take-out menu is available in the gallery. A tip: If you're not big on sauce, don't let them sauce your food. Each table has a bottle of sauce where you can do things your way, as they tend to be a little generous with the sauce when they're putting it on at the counter. It's also good with that homemade Texas Toast that they do.
