Das Kloster wurde 1868 von Maria Pia von Angelini gegründet, 1869/70 erbaut und 1872 geweiht. 1895 wurde von Felix Schatz das Fassadenmosaik Anbetung des Altarsakramentes gestaltet. Das Kloster wurde in der NS-Zeit 1940 aufgehoben und danach 1945 von den überlebenden Schwestern wieder übernommen.
