There is a French-language sign and an English-language sign on the west side of Bank Street, south of Lester Road (also known as Davidson Road). Be careful with road side parking.
In the Canadian province of Ontario, many of the drainage basins (or watersheds) form the basis for official entities known as Conservation Authorities. These signs mark the border between the South Nation Conservation Authority and the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. The South Nation Conservation Authority must have a better budget for signage. I have not yet seen a corresponding welcome sign for the boundary of the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority.
The watershed of the South Nation River comprises more than 3,900 square kilometres. The watershed of the Rideau River comprises more than 4,000 square kilometres. Both the South Nation River and the Rideau River flow into the Ottawa River. The waters of the Ottawa River reach the St Lawrence River and eventually the Atlantic Ocean.
