In the original downtown of Viola, murals are painted in the boarded up windows of vacant buildings....I will submit the north side as one mural, and the same with the south side of the street.

I assume there was a parade and this was a way to "pretty" up the old vacant buildings in the heart of town. The new businesses are all spread along US-67 and the side streets are basically ignored.
I also assume the images are part of the towns history, each meaning something of importance from the past...which is which I could not find in print anywhere.
Along this side we have the portraits of man and woman in 1900s gear; a couple wrestling around a love seat; a horse and buggy and the ever present locomotive engine.
